It's been a long time since BNETDocs had its site makeover, a few years in fact, and during that length of time, it was impossible for a user to recover their account completely on their own. Today, users may now reset their password on this site on their own, without the aid of a staff member.
If you remember your username you used, you can head over to the log in form and click recover password. An email will be sent to the account's listed email address with a link to reset the password, which will allow you to log back in after all these years if you weren't able to before.
Please be sure to report any issues you may find to the BNETDocs Staff so we can not only help you out but fix the issue for everyone in the future. If you lost your username but remember your email address, or your email address is now defunct, feel free to reach out and we can help you out.
Additionally, if you previously received an internal error trying to register your username, it may have been because it already exists, and a patch from Davnit has fixed that error message to be more appropriate.

Battle.net Server Upgrade - 14 August 2018

Blizzard has patched Classic Battle.net again.
The biggest change this patch is the restriction of legacy Diablo II 16-character CD-keys. Now in order to log in with Diablo II and/or its expansion pack, you will be required to register your CD-key on Battle.net with your Battle.net account, and then use the new 26-character game key instead.

Mouse Lag
When submitting reports of mouse lag please include a video and system specs. To do so, follow these steps:
- Run regedit
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Blizzard entertainment -> warcraft iii -> Video -> Right-click -> New DWORD 32 bit value
- Value name -> oscursor
- Set to 1
Battle.net Server Upgrade/Maintenance

The Blizzard team behind the recent Starcraft Remastered project and other patches to Blizzard's Classic Games have announced a server upgrade/patch scheduled for today.
The following is a copy of the forum post:
Classic Battle.net services will be upgraded on Tuesday at 1000 PDT. We expect the maintenance to last one hour.
Specific Changes & Improvements
- Increased max channel size to 255
- Increased max clan size to 255
- Fixed clan message of the day
- Changed default channel to be based on language not region
- Fixed emails not being sent in correct locale for new accounts
- Resolved issues with Warcraft III ladder reset
Known Issue
Creating clans and arranged teams with more than 40 players in the channel will cause a disconnect from Warcraft III until the next client patch.
